Company history

Study Options is the longest-established education agency in the UK and Ireland. It was founded by directors Stefan Watts and Sarah Nash in March 2005 and is based in Temple, central London.

Stefan: “I came up with the idea for Study Options because of my own experiences. When I wanted to apply to Australian universities I found it really difficult to get hold of the information I needed, and the whole thing – the university application, finding accommodation, getting a visa - turned into a bit of a nightmare. I just thought, ‘other people must be finding this difficult too, there has to be a better way’. So I started working on the idea for Study Options when I finished my studies and got back from Australia.”

Sarah: “When I first met Stefan he’d been doing the groundwork for launching Study Options for about six months. When he explained what he wanted to do I thought it was a brilliant idea – I’d just come back to the UK after a few years living in Wellington, New Zealand, running the International Student Admissions team at Victoria University of Wellington, so I’d seen how much of a difference using a service like this can make to someone’s experience of applying overseas.”

Stefan: “So we set up the company in March 2005 and to date we’ve helped hundreds of students go over to Australia and New Zealand to study.”
