Founded in 1940, William Angliss Institute is a specialist centre for hospitality, tourism and culinary arts. Over the past 70 years, it has become Australia’s premier provider of tourism, hospitality and food industry training. The Institute has around 23,000 Australian students and 1,300 international students on campus each year and is located in the heart of Melbourne.

William Angliss is recognised internationally for providing high quality education, training and consultancy to these industries. A strong network of partnerships with industry and education and training institutions in Victoria, throughout Australia and globally, provides our students, industry partners and staff with world-class opportunities. Currently we offer over 30 education pathways with various universities and colleges and enrol international students from over 45 different countries.

In Australia, the Institute designs and implements training and recruitment strategies for clients including the Compass Group (Australia), Clubs Victoria, Rydges Hotels, Harvey World Travel and others. It has offices in Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Sydney with staff skilled in the management and development of materials, learning technologies and programmes to support in-house, flexible and remote delivery for industry.

Internationally we have over 1200 students enrolled in diploma and advanced diploma courses at our international campuses in China. More than 160 graduates from these campuses have been placed in international hotels and tourism organisations and are claiming their places as future industry leaders. Institute staff have been selected to work as consultants on international projects in a huge number of countries, to assist in curriculum development, training delivery and other advisory roles in the tourism and hospitality sectors.
