Within two weeks students start cutting hair on mannequins and by six weeks you’ll be learning how to colour. At week 10 students start work on the school’s salon floor and start building their clientele! Student life at Brisbane School of Hairdressing is always exciting and fast-paced – in short, the best possible place for aspiring hairdressers!

Hairdressing offers a fun and exciting career that can be used all over the world, in many varied formats and locations, from working on a cruise ship, to a salon, to owning your own business and working part-time from home. A career in hairdressing will provide you with a useful skill for life.

Our teachers are still active in the industry and are passionate about hairdressing. BSH is Queensland’s longest running private hairdressing college with over 30 years experience in training hairdressers. Both of our campuses have engaging, energetic atmospheres. With friendly staff and like-minded students, you’ll find it easy to make friendships to last a lifetime.

The School teaches the Pivot Point hairdressing system, an internationally accredited hairdressing education method that allows your qualifications to be recognised when you return home to the UK. In total, it’s recognised in over 70 countries worldwide.

Our courses start every eight weeks. Course fees are fully inclusive of your hairdressing tool kit – complete with brushes, mannequins, hair straighter and everything else you need – including all your textbooks, so there are no extra costs to worry about during your course.

The Brisbane campus has a new, state-of-the-art Advanced Salon for our students and clients to enjoy. With top of the range fittings and 27 work stations, it’s like no other student salon in Queensland.

Everything you learn at either of our hairdressing schools will make you job ready for the real world. After completing the Certificate III in Hairdressing you also have the option of continuing study to gain the Diploma of Hairdressing Salon Management, a course that covers every aspect of how to manage a salon, giving you the tools to transfer your skills to the setting of your own hairdressing business.
