MBA at Macquarie Graduate School of Management (MGSM)
MGSM’s MBA offers learning solutions for every stage of your career development. Designed to empower, challenge and transform, our MBA will give you the knowledge and skills demanded by our ever evolving global economy. Ranked as Australia’s leading MBA and number 56 in the world by the Financial Times in 2016, our programme’s flexible study options and choice of elective units lets you tailor your studies to your interests, aspirations and lifestyle. The programme involves 10 core units and 6 electives. It covers all aspects of management education and includes an ideal mix of theory and real-world experience, from experiential learning in the classroom to internships and exchange programmes with our academic and corporate partners, both in Australia and globally.
You can opt to specialise your MBA in a particular management field, with six electives to be chosen from a broad range of over 40 units. Areas include: Leadership and General Management, Financial Strategy, Marketing, Management Skills, Strategy, Logistics and Operations Management, Global Perspectives, and Entrepreneurship.
You can complete the MBA in two years of full-time study, but this study time can be accelerated or extended depending on your family, work, or other commitments as well as eligibility for Recognition of Prior Learning. No matter which entry point of study mode you choose, all course units are taught at the same academic level as the MBA. A single Unit, certificate or diploma are available to students who may not satisfy the direct entry requirements of the MBA. With MGSM’s unique online interactive study mode, you also have the flexibility to study selected units online, to the same rigorous standards as on-campus learning. Cooperating with others, you will broaden your perspective on business issues, along with improving communication skills and problem solving.
We offer four intakes each year (January, April, June and September)
Direct entry into the MBA requires a completed undergraduate degree and a minimum of two years of managerial or professional work experience.
Alternatively, if you’re an experienced manager (minimum of five years managerial level work experience) and don’t have an undergraduate degree, you can gain entry (articulate) into the MBA programme through successful completion of the Graduate Certificate and Graduate Diploma.
