How much does it cost?

You will need to budget for tuition fees and living expenses. Each university sets its own tuition fees, and they do vary considerably depending on what you study and where you study it. Here are some general guidelines (all figures quoted are approximate, per year and cover tuition fees only).

           

GENERAL Bachelors degrees

(Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Commerce) AU$15,000-27,000; NZ$19,000-24,000

           

Lab-based Bachelors DEGREES

(eg Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Engineering) AU$17,000-30,000; NZ$23,000-28,000

           

GENERAL Masters degrees

(eg Master of Arts, Master of Commerce) AU$17,000-27,000; NZ$21,000-24,000

           

Lab-based Masters DEGREEs

(eg Master of Science, Master
of Engineering) AU$19,000-32,000; NZ$22,500-30,000

 

*Specialist and professional degrees such as medicine, dentistry, veterinary science and architecture are charged at higher tuition fee rates.
