Scholarships for UK engineers at the University of Canterbury

The University of Canterbury have just announced engineering scholarships, specifically targeted at UK undergraduate students.

The scholarships were established by the College of Engineering to recognise and support top scholars from the United Kingdom to pursue study towards an Engineering degree at the University.  Up to ten scholarships will be awarded annually to full-fee paying applicants intending to enrol full-time in a Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) degree programme.

The awards are open to applicants who currently reside in the UK and have completed or are completing a university entrance qualification and have attended secondary school in the UK in the year of application (or in the year prior, for mid-year intake). Successful applicants must meet the entry requirements for the BE (Hons) Engineering Intermediate Year (Year 1) or receive Direct Entry into the First Professional Year (Year 2).

Applications forms are only available from approximately 8 weeks ahead of the closing date, which is 1st September 2014 for students starting in February 2015.  Contact Study Options if you would like to apply for one of these scholarships and we will get in touch once the forms become available.  Prospective students have plenty of time to start planning, so contact us for more details about the engineering programme at University of Canterbury, or for general advice and information about studying in New Zealand.
