President Obama to visit University of Queensland’s campus

This weekend, the G20 Leaders Summit will be held in Brisbane, Queensland.  During the two days of the summit in Brisbane, the University of Queensland’s St Lucia campus will be used as a venue, in particular hosting President Obama’s address on US-leadership in Asia-Pacific.

UQ Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Høj said it was a momentous occasion for the University. “It is a tremendous honour for UQ, and will be marked as an historic occasion by many of our almost 50,000 students.”

The invite-only event is already full, but the US president’s address will also be streamed live by ABC news on Saturday.*

*The time of the address has not been specified by the news channel, if you are interested in watching it remember that Queensland time is currently Australian Eastern Time (AET) which is currently 10 hours ahead of GMT
