New pharmacology degree at Griffith University

Booming job prospects within the pharmaceutical industry have led Griffith University to introduce Australia’s first Bachelor of Pharmacology and Toxicology.

The degree is designed to provide a pathway to a career in pharmacology, toxicology or drug research, pharmaceutical, biotechnology and other health industries.

Professor Andrew Davey said: "From drug discovery to clinical use, from community pharmacy to pharma-covigilance, regulatory affairs and medication management, there are a whole host of career opportunities that graduates can undertake."

The Bachelor of Pharmacology and Toxicology will also be offered as a double degree with either business or law enabling students to specialise in key areas.
