New Master of Health Leadership at the University of Auckland
The University of Auckland has recently launched the new Master of Health Leadership degree. This is a non-clinical qualification designed for health professionals and graduates of health sciences, public health, business, law and arts degrees, who seek to improve the experiences of patients, the health of communities and the operations of health services.
The degree will help students to develop leadership qualities necessary for working in the health sector and prepare for careers in health management, health care quality improvement, international health management and other areas.
The relationship between the national teaching hospital and faculty at Auckland has led to a programme that is firmly embedded in the health sector. During the degree, students will get a uniquely broad combination of academic and practical experience, including a workplace project and many other opportunities to network within the sector.
There are three specialisations to choose from within the 1.5-year degree: Health management; clinical quality and safety; and international health. Contact Study Options if you would like to find out more about this new programme or to make an application.
