Video: Tasmania arts festival in 2015
There has never been a better time or place to be an artist. Tasmania is very much a home of the creative arts, there is an appreciation of culture and the ability to compete globally in terms of quality. The 2015 Dark Mofo festival was the first year where UTAS (University of Tasmania) was able to be front and centre, our Hunter Street campus was used as the location for a number of installations and our students were also involved with artist's from Indonesia to create a number of sculptures. Students also relished in the opportunity to work with artists such as Marina Abramović and Patricia Piccinini. Tasmania is a remarkably unique and inspiring place to practice.
