Deadline for the Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) at the University of Sydney

For students thinking of studying the Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) at the University of Sydney, please bear in mind that applications for this degree programme (semester 1 2017 intake) will now close on 15 August 2016. This is due to unprecedented early demand for places from high quality applicants.

The number of students accepted into the Bachelor of Applied Science (Physiotherapy) each year is limited as it includes multiple clinical placements at different locations throughout the duration of the degree programme. This means it is not possible for the University of Sydney to accept more students into the programme than can be properly supported during the required clinical placements. So, if you are still thinking of applying for this particular programme, get your application to Study Options as soon as possible.

The University of Sydney offers other study routes into physiotherapy for students who are keen to study at the University but are unable to meet the deadline. The Bachelor of Applied Sciences (Exercise and Sports Science) and Bachelor of Health Sciences are three-year degrees which provide recognised pathways to the 2-year Master of Physiotherapy at the University of Sydney.

For students interested in studying health degrees in Australia - particularly medicine and dentistry - please keep an eye out for early deadlines when making your application.  Contact Study Options if you have any questions about the application procedure.
