New international rankings show strength of Australasian universities

The latest Top 200 World Universities report, published each year by the Times Higher Education Supplement, again demonstrates the strength of Australian and New Zealand universities internationally.

 

Nine of Australia’s 40 universities are ranked in the world’s top 200. They include the Australian National University (17); the University of Melbourne and the University of Sydney (=36); University of Queensland (41); the University of New South Wales (47); University of Adelaide (81); University of Western Australia (84) and Macquarie University (189).

 

New Zealand has three of its eight universities ranked in the top 200: the University of Auckland (61) the University of Otago (125) and the University of Canterbury (188).

 

Twenty-nine of the UK’s universities are listed in the ranking (there are over 120 universities in the UK in total).
