UK student Hannah Davies is studying the Bachelor of Physiotherapy at La Trobe

“It’s difficult to pick one thing to love above everything else in this city. The nightlife is fantastic, which allows me to create a healthy work-life balance, the university campus is stunning and the friends I’ve made both at university and outside make life extremely enjoyable.

“My course is great, I like everything about it! The content is challenging, interesting, and very rewarding. The tutors are helpful and friendly and my classmates are awesome. I feel as though the lecturers and tutors are more approachable than they would be at a UK institution, there is more individual attention. I’m not just a number, I am actually a person to them – they know my name and are always willing to help out if there’s a problem.

“So far the whole experience has been amazing and I’m sure it’ll continue to be so. Coming to Australia and to La Trobe has increased my independence, confidence, happiness and my satisfaction with my choice of future career. My study and the campus life here are so much fun and so rewarding. I have absolutely no regrets about coming to study in Australia or my choice of La Trobe.

“Plus, the lifestyle here is fantastic. I have a great social life and Melbourne is just breathtaking. I think I’m in love with the city, university and the country as a whole! University is not a chore but something
I look forward to every day, which makes all the difference. It was the best decision I ever made to come and study physiotherapy at La Trobe!”
