On campus there are around 120 clubs and societies, ranging from cultural associations from all over the world to clubs for tramping, canoeing, photography, film and yoga. The University of Auckland's Recreation Centre on Symonds Street has a great range of facilities and services, including a sports hall, gym, climbing wall, aerobics, yoga, squash courts and salsa dancing. You can meet and compete against your fellow students by joining one of the centre’s social sports clubs, which include football, rugby, basketball, netball and badminton.
