For nearly 50 years, Macquarie Graduate School of Management (MGSM) has helped equip thousands of graduates with the critical skills and experience needed to lead and succeed in our globally connected economy. At MGSM, pathways to leadership are built on teaching and practice that are firmly grounded in industry relevance, real-world experience and transformational thinking. MGSM is proudly ranked among the top business schools in the world by both The Financial Times Global MBA Rankings and The Economist 'Which MBA' Survey.

Programmes

From single unit studies to our globally recognised MBA, our suite of programmes offers participants the flexibility to tailor studies to match their personal objectives, experience and career aspirations. We offer the flexibility of multiple entry and graduation points, with the opportunity to progress from one programme to another. MGSM’s unique Online Interactive study mode provides the flexibility to study selected units online.

Our programmes include:

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA) and related programmes (Single Unit, Graduate Certificate of Management, Graduate Diploma of Management)
  • Early Career Master of Management
  • Master of Social Entrepreneurship
  • Master of Research
  • PhD

Beyond the traditional boundaries of a management school, the MGSM experience offers so much more than theory and principles. Our partnerships with leading global management schools such as Tsinghua University (China), University of Mannheim (Germany), ESSEC Business School (France) and Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (India) present a unique opportunity to engage with some of the leading global management education establishments.

Campus and location

Catering to the demands of busy professionals, MGSM programmes can be undertaken at either our Sydney CBD campus or our main campus located within the grounds of Macquarie University, just 15 km from Sydney Harbour. Both campuses feature state-of-the-art lecture theatres, conference and meeting facilities, modern, well-equipped computer labs and syndicate rooms for group work and study outside of the classroom. For more than 20 years, MGSM has also partnered with the Hong Kong Business Association to deliver our MBA and other programmes in this dynamic centre of Asian business.

Student support

To optimise the MGSM experience, we have dedicated teams of experienced professionals to provide all the guidance and assistance participants may require. Our Student Services team offers assistance and orientation for new students with special guidance provided for international students.  Our Career Services team and external consultants offer a range of services to help individuals maximise their potential and connect with rewarding career opportunities.

Through our Women in MBA (WiMBA) programme, MGSM is working towards being the first business school ranked in the world’s top 50 to achieve student gender balance. As part of our WiMBA initiative, we will partner with corporates to financially support future female business leaders to complete an MBA. This is close to a $4 million investment from MGSM – the largest ever investment from an Australian business school in the postgraduate education of women.

MGSM values diversity, and we welcome students from a range of academic, cultural and professional backgrounds. From social entrepreneurs working with communities in Mexico City, to Sydney-based executives or technology entrepreneurs from China, this diversity enriches the experience of our international classroom. Our student body represents over 30 countries currently and more than 135 in our extensive alumni network which has more than 16,500 members.
