The Open Days start on Monday in Edinburgh, don't miss it!
The Open Days start next week, and this article contains some important information about the day.
The Open Days will be held in Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham, Bristol and London. Please check the relevant event pages for details of how to get to the venue in each city. The Study Options team and 16 university representatives will be at each event from 2pm until 6pm, with the exception of London, which starts at 1pm and ends at 7pm. Turn up at any time and stay for as long as you need. Our university representatives will try and speak to as many students as possible at the Open Days, so please be aware that you may have to wait for other students to finish before you have a chance to speak to them.
Members of the Study Options team will be available throughout the day to answer your questions. There will also be an applications desk for anyone wants to apply on the day, as well as a student visa help desk.
Try to plan your Open Day in advance by finding out which universities are going to be the most useful for you to speak to. Contact Study Options now on 020 7353 7200 to request a list of the courses available in your chosen subject, and browse our website for profiles of all the universities we represent. Study Options is the official Application Support Service for UK-based students wanting to apply to Australian and New Zealand universities. We are a free information and application service for students.
Making an Application on the Day
All the universities at our Open Days have agreed to waive their usual application fees for applications made in person at the event. Applications taken now will be for a February or July start in 2015 (Semester 1 or 2). In some cases, it may be possible to apply for a July 2014 (Semester 2) start as well.
To make an application, you will need to bring a few key documents. Doing so will enable Study Options to certify your documents at the event and your application will be processed quicker.
Please bring the original AND 1 x photocopy of each of the following documents:
- Your passport (very important!)
If you are applying for an undergraduate course, you will also need:
- Your A-level certificates (or equivalent qualification), or evidence of predicted grades if you are currently studying and so do not have the results yet.
- Your GCSE certificates.
If you are applying for an postgraduate course, you will also need:
- Your degree certificate (for any undergraduate or postgraduate study already completed) and academic transcripts. An academic transcript is an official list, issued by the university, of the subjects you've studied and the grade/mark obtained for each.
If you are a current UK undergraduate student and wish to transfer to an Australian or New Zealand university, please ensure you bring your academic transcript to date.
We look forward to seeing you at the Open Days
If you have registered in advance then we look forward to seeing you at the event, however we will also be registering people on the door if you wish to bring along your friends. Website registration will remain open until the day before each event.
If you have registered but are no longer able to attend the event, don't worry, you can contact us any time for free advice and information about studying in Australia or New Zealand.
