MOOC courses designed by Monash University and the University of Auckland
The UK’s MOOC (Massive Online Open Course) platform, Future Learn was launched in 2013, and since then they have added more and more free short courses, which are designed and taught by universities all over the world using digital media.
The free courses provide an insight into university level learning across a wide range of subject areas and are open to anyone, regardless of what qualifications you have.
The MOOC courses vary in length with staggered start dates, although the latest line-up of courses that will run through the Autumn term are now available to sign up for. Within that list are courses run by Monash University in Melbourne, and the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
The Science of Medicines by Monash University starts on the 1st September for 6 weeks.
Register with Future Learn to join any of the MOOC courses and you will receive email reminders when they are due to start. If the MOOCs inspire you to think about studying a full degree at an Australian or New Zealand university, you can of course contact Study Options for information and advice on how to apply.
