Rough Guide voters rate Brisbane and Sydney amongst the most beautiful cities in the world

Readers of the Rough Guide have cast their votes for the 14 most beautiful cities in the world for 2015.  Italian cities top the list, with Rome and Florence reaching first and second places respectively.  Although much of the table is dominated by European cities, Australia has made its mark too with Sydney at number 13, and Brisbane at number 8.

The Rough Guide cites Sydney’s sparkling harbour and beautiful beaches for its place in the listing, as well as the picturesque coastal paths leading out of the city.  You can read more about studying in Sydney here.

Brisbane gains its eighth place thanks to its combination of modern architecture and lush green spaces alongside the enormous Brisbane River.  Read more about Brisbane here.
