The World of Wine – a MOOC from the University of Adelaide
If you are lover of wine and interested in the winemaking process, you could expand your knowledge with a free MOOC from the University of Adelaide.
The MOOC lasts six weeks and is a great opportunity to learn about the principles and practices of how grapes are grown and wine is made. The course also teaches the basics of wine tasting, so you will be able to confidently describe its appearance, aroma, flavour and taste.
The University of Adelaide is one of Australia’s older universities, established in 1874. It’s setting in South Australia – home to the Barossa Valley and well-known wines such as Jacob’s Creek – has led to the development of the world renowned School of Agriculture, Food and Wine.
In the School of Agriculture, Food and Wine, Adelaide offers all levels of programmes in viticulture and oenology from bachelors through to research degrees. So, if you complete the MOOC and want to learn more, or if you’ve already decided that a career in wine is for you, contact Study Options for a University of Adelaide prospectus.
