Monash Warwick Alliance wins Higher Education Award
The Monash Warwick Alliance has won the Australian Financial Review Higher Education Award for International Education. The partnership between Monash University and the University of Warwick brings together the capabilities and resources of two of the world’s top 100 universities.
University of Warwick Vice-Chancellor and President Professor Stuart Croft congratulated the Alliance team on the achievement: “The Monash Warwick Alliance has surmounted the challenges posed by geographic boundaries with determination and tenacity. Using innovative approaches such as online networking tool Piirus, the Alliance has encouraged collaboration, not only between universities, but also across diverse academic disciplines.”
The Monash Warwick Alliance initiatives include joint PhD and master’s programmes, the undergraduate research journal Reinvention, as well as many unique opportunities for students including exchanges.
The Monash Warwick Alliance is set to be renewed for a second five-year term in December 2016.
