Destination Australia Scholarship at WA School of Mines, Curtin University

The Destination Australia Scholarship has been developed by the Australian Government to encourage students to study at postgraduate level in regional Australia. One of the regional locations where students are eligible to apply for this scholarship is Curtin University’s Kalgoorlie campus.

The Kalgoorlie campus is home to the Western Australian School of Mines, and the scholarship is available to mining and metallurgy students who will be completing their full postgraduate degree in Kalgoorlie. 

The Destination Australia Scholarship is valued at A$15,000 per year for the duration of your postgraduate degree.

Eligible programmes at Kalgoorlie are:

  • Master of Engineering Science (Mining)
  • Master of Engineering Science (Metallurgy)

To apply for one of these Destination Australia Scholarships, you need to submit your application for an eligible programme at Curtin University along with a one page statement of purpose demonstrating “How the Destination Australian Scholarship will assist you in reaching your career goal and how it will help you make tomorrow better”.
